I was born in Brooklyn, raised in the Bronx, and I’ve lived in Greenwich Village since 1977.
Up until 1997, I made my living in show business. I performed in comedy clubs, toured with the Big Apple Circus, had many TV commercials running, and some small roles in film and television. Work slowed down and I wasn’t bringing in enough money to support my family.
One day I walked by the Gray Line bus depot and saw all those tourists sitting on top of the bus waiting for a tour. The ol’ light bulb went off. I said to myself, “You make groups of people laugh, you were born and raised in this city, why not give it a shot?” I thought I’d be doing it for a few months until I got more work in show biz. Almost two decades later, I’m still guiding and loving it.
My past and current clients include World Strides, Gerber Tours, School Tours of America, Omega Tours of Toronto, Phillips Bus Service, Prairie Tours of South Dakota, Urban Adventures, Destinations Unlimited, Intercruise, Colette Tours, and Music Travel Tours.
I am licensed by the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs and belong to GANYC, the Guides Association of New York City. See my GANYC profile.
